On Thursday, July 17, the Pahud reception center was filled with summery hues of cheerfulness and togetherness. Welcome to Utrecht, BuurtMaaltijden, and The Social Collective joined forces to organize a radiant summer day full of encounters and creativity.

For many local residents, it was their first introduction to the Pahud asylum seekers’ community center, and that impression lingered. Between the artistic children’s activities, sparkling face painting fun, and lively music, a fantastic atmosphere developed. Thanks to Jumbo, among others, wonderful volunteers were able to treat everyone to snacks and dishes prepared with love and care.

This summer party was not just any day; it was an experience that left us wanting more.
