  • Mother language cafe Star Lodge

    During a language cafe volunteers help residents of Star Lodge to learn the Dutch language. This language cafe is specifically for (single) mothers who do not have access to a babysitter. There are volunteers who look after the kids during the language cafe.

  • Wool workshop De Buitenkamer

    Event Categories:

    You are welcome to visit the wool workshop. Here wool is washed, dyed and spun. With this you make a work of art, for example a wall or rug. It is close to azc Star Lodge and Ukraine shelters on Herculesplein and in the Provinciehuis.

  • Dancing voor vrouwen

    Event Categories:

    Every week another dance workshop, so every week you can learn a new dance. The workshop is especially for women, in the Wilde Westen close to the AZC Joseph Haydnlaan.

  • Language cafe De Bierkantine

    Would you like to practice Dutch with a volunteer? That's possible during WelnU's Language Cafe at De Bierkantine. Note: there might be a waiting list.

    During the language cafe, Ukrainian residents of the shelter at Herculesplein get support from volunteers in learning the Dutch language.

    Every Tuesday, refugees can go to the movies through Welkom in Utrecht at the Louis Hartlooper Complex, Slachtstraat Filmtheater and Springhaver Theater. Every week there is a changing selection of films at different times.
