On Wednesday, November 13, Villa Vrede together with Toevlucht Utrecht organized an evening ‘World Kitchen Iran’ at Landhuis in de Stad. During this evening the delicious food was provided by a number of Iranians currently residing in azc Pahud. The visitors enjoyed no less than five dishes, in three courses; a soup (soupe-jo) and mashed eggplant (kashke bademjan) as starters, 2 kinds of rice (adas polo and zereshk polo) as main course, and delicious ferni as dessert.

An evening without swinging to music simply cannot be considered an Iranian evening…. So after reading a piece of poetry from the book by the world-famous Hafez and a fun quiz with all sorts of questions about Iran, of course there was also rhythmic dancing to Iranian and Kurdish tunes… Amaaazing!!!

We thank Villa Vrede, Toevlucht Utrecht and Landhuis in de Stad for the very fine cooperation and this very complete and successful Iranian evening.
