Volunteer vacancy Community Zone Joseph Haydnlaan
For the newly opened meeting space at the asylum seekers’ center on Joseph Haydnlaan, we are looking for (a) facilitator(s). Volunteers who would like to help make this ‘Community Zone’, which has been refurbished and furnished by the young adults themselves, into a nice welcoming place. A living room with space for all kinds of initiatives, but where you can also just “be”. Where encounters can arise among ourselves, with the neighborhood, with all kinds of organizations and associations and peers from the city. Where we can exchange information, experiences and tips and where we can support young adults to take control of their lives and future within the space available.
We are open to all kinds of interpretation and ideas, but would also like to have a regular evening where we are open and we find staffing. We are looking for people who want to open their hearts, have a listening ear, are willing to invest in building the community and of course have an affinity with the target group and perhaps speak several languages. Do you have time one evening a week to be an anchor? We would like to be open from 19:00 -21:00, evening by arrangement.
Let me know if you are interested or have any questions. Send an email to Margriet Smeets (info@margrietsmeets.nl).
