“It was an inspiring experience that not only connected us more closely with your mission, but also opened our eyes to the immense impact you are making in the lives of so many. We are profoundly impressed by the compassion, professionalism, and dedication with which you support refugees in building a new future.”

These were the words of one of the 16 Douwe Egberts employees who participated last week at Plan Einstein Pahud in a program filled with creativity and coffee provided by our own contact staff and volunteers.

Our Selamawit made Ethiopian coffee the traditional way. This amazing ritual of roasting unroasted coffee (and eating popcorn) looked beautiful and fascinated all present.

Our Hamist organized a cake baking workshop. Two cakes were made with the logos of Douwe Egberts and Welkom in Utrecht and they were literally and figuratively to savour.

Douwe Egberts employees were also able to participate in a calligraphy workshop given by Ahmad. The result, all kinds of names and expressions written in a sublime and grandiose manner, can truly be called prestigious.

Douwe Egberts employees enjoyed this special afternoon. We thank them for their open attitude, commitment and involvement.
