As many as 10 Sundays we got to come and embroider at the Centraal Museum with the wonderful Jolanda Schouten and collaborate on her beautiful garden carpet of the project Let’s Grow Flowers Not Walls.

Women from inside and outside the asylum center joined one or more Sundays at the embroidery table and together with museum visitors embroidered the most beautiful flowers on the carpet. The afternoons were full of connection by working together on this beautiful project, sharing knowledge and learning from each other’s talents.
