Embroidery in Centraal Museum
At the invitation of artist Jolanda Schouten, women from the asylum center can join in the weekly Embroidery Garden in the middle of the Centraal Museum.
On large linen canvases on which Jolanda has painted native plants with watercolors, we embroider together every Sunday.
Inexperienced embroiderers can learn from others at the table with years of experience, and work in silence is interspersed with moments of meeting and conversation.
And so together a beautiful work of art is created.
In addition to embroidery, our women will also have the opportunity to view the beautiful exhibition Spraying and Stitching.
For some of them, this is even their very first time visiting a museum, and thus a special experience!
