Docu ‘Alles goed’ at HerculesHoek

Docu ‘Alles goed’ at HerculesHoek

There were tears and intense discussions in the HerculesHoek. But despite these strong emotions, the Ukrainians agreed about the documentary Alles goed: “I’m glad I saw this film. It’s heavy, but this is what our reality looks like.”

In the documentary Alles goed, a film crew follows three women from Ukraine — Natasja, Svitlana, and Zoja — who are staying at a reception center in Weesp. The film shows how difficult it is for them to feel even a little bit at home in a new country, where they miss everything they love. But it also shows how these women do their best to make something of it. Music and borscht (Ukrainian beet soup) play an important role in this.

The documentary will be shown at various shelters for Ukrainians over the coming months. We’ll also be organizing screenings for local residents. This is done in collaboration with the documentary production company ‘Een van de jongens’.
