Dalia fled El Salvador about 20 months ago with her two children and husband Gilberto. While they currently reside at location Pahud, she has focused on her artistic talents during this time.

She mainly makes beautiful paintings on canvas of landscapes she likes, as well as specific areas in El Salvador. As a thanks for what Utrecht has meant to her and her family during this period, she made a beautiful painting of the Oudegracht for our mayor.

Last Thursday, Mrs. Dijksma received Dalia’s artwork with great enthusiasm. She will find a nice spot in her office to hang it!
