The other day, employees of the Hogeschool Utrecht from JongHU visited 2 shelters. In Oog in Al they concentrated on a CV workshop. Residents of the asylum seekers center received tips and tricks to create a professional resume, help with writing a cover letter, or a push to make that phone call to a potential employer! It was a valuable meeting for newcomers who want to start their career in the Netherlands, even though it is certainly not always easy for people who do not yet have a residence permit or BSN number, or do not yet speak Dutch very well. An important first step!

At the same time, the Star Lodge hosted a fun afternoon for children (and adults). Cakes were decorated, colored and read together. And especially beautiful meetings took place. An editor from the college even came along to capture the fun!
