Creating a work of art together fraternizes!

The nice artist Maarten Krukkert has already created many beautiful works of art in refugee camps in Lesvos. His friends have often been involved in these projects. So on a cold Saturday in December, this enthusiastic group arrived at the asylum center on Joseph Haydnlaan. COA’s new recreation room had a bare wall and could use something beautiful!

They came up with the design of a beautiful dove of peace, a symbol from which we can draw hope in these dark times. Together with a fun group of residents, some of whom had never held a paintbrush before, the wall was transformed into a beautiful work of art in just one day!
