What a celebration, the kickoff of light sculpture building for the festive Sint Maarten Parade in Utrecht! On Friday, November 11, it is time again for this annual parade of people with music, performances and beautiful light sculptures from all over Utrecht. In district West a big Hendrikbeest (yaja) is being built every week in the school Catharijnepoort at the Vleutenseweg. This is in collaboration with Welkom in Utrecht and De Voorkamer: we started building light sculptures in the attic of Plan Einstein yesterday within the theme of market. Already flowers, a fish, baskets and a peace dove were made! A great start!
