Last weeks we went to the zoo with more than 250 refugees from different shelters, including the new emergency shelter at Europalaan.

For many of them, this was a day to remember, to laugh again and leave the worries behind. From the shelter for Ukrainians in Provinciehuis, children who are being treated for cancer also came along.

They loved it! Elephants, tigers, flamingos, wolves, a stuffed bear….

‘We didn’t have enough time to take many pictures, we really wanted to see everything. There was so much,” a mother said afterwards.
