Recently, together with Foundation Connected, we were able to give a Somali resident from azc Star Lodge a mobility scooter: what a wonderful and moving experience!

Hans and Corinne from Foundation Connected picked up the mobility scooter from someone in The Hague, via Marktplaats. And then brought it to the resident at azc Star Lodge. They did not know each other yet, so it was a very pleasant surprise that they turned out to have such a nice connection!

He immediately tried out his mobility scooter and began to shine more and more. This is not just any mobility scooter: this is his ticket to independence and freedom! He can finally leave his crutches behind.

That you can give that to someone as a gift, is a great honor! “Grateful and gently shining, we said goodbye.” said Hans and Corinne.
