Volunteers wanted for our language cafes!

When you walk into the living room of Plan Einstein Pahud, you often hear all kinds of languages mixed together: Spanish, Arabic, English, Farsi, Dutch, Russian and many more. But at three times a week you hear mostly Dutch, because that’s when the language cafes are held in this room next to the asylum center.

Volunteers and people who want to learn Dutch gather in the living room and then break up into small groups to practice Dutch for an hour. By no means everyone is already offered formal language lessons so this helps many newcomers to get a start on learning Dutch as well as meeting other people.

The language cafes are popular, so we can still use extra help from volunteers! Would you like to help someone practicing Dutch? Then sign up as a language volunteer with Linda (06-39700864 or linda@welkominutrecht.nu). This also applies to other locations on Biltsestraatweg 92 and Joseph Haydnlaan 2a. You can always ask for some information without any obligations.
