CV making workshop at Plan Einstein
“How much useful information we received! Now we can start taking our first steps into the Dutch job market, but it is very exciting!”
This was one of the reactions of the eighteen participants in the CV-making workshop that Anne Marie Trip and Hans Slobbe provided in collaboration with Welkom in Utrecht at Plan Einstein Haydn.
The presentation titled “How to get a job in the Netherlands” was followed attentively and people were very happy with the information. In the Netherlands, for example, a CV is much more compact than in some other countries and the fact that a recruiter only looks at a CV for a very short time and thus wants to see very quickly what kind of person he or she is was also an eye-opener. There were also discussions about possible opportunities to use the network of both workshop leaders for the participants’ dreams. People with refugee backgrounds want only one thing: to work!
This workshop was very valuable and important. A great first step! Thank you for your energy and enthusiasm!
