Borrowing books at Neude Library
“What a beautiful building! And I can study here in peace! That’s really nice!”
Lydia from Ethiopia is learning to code through the Hack Your Future program, but that requires a lot of self-study. During our tour of Neude Library, she discovered that she can study at the library and reserve a spot with her library card!
We were given an incredibly interesting tour of the beautiful building, and everyone received a card to borrow books, including from all other libraries in the city. It was great fun to be out and about with the new residents, and volunteer Miranda came along too. She also volunteers to give language lessons to a group of residents.
Work was also done on a joint artwork in the hall, to which our residents were also able to make a beautiful contribution. In short, it was a very educational and enjoyable outing! Many thanks to the Utrecht Library for the warm welcome!
