Helping refugees with learning Dutch?

Helping refugees with learning Dutch?

“I want to learn the Dutch language so badly and I am happy that there are Dutch people who want to help me with that!”

Adham is from Syria and can be found every week at the language café on Joseph Haydnlaan in Utrecht. There, local residents and employees of companies and organisations in the PKN building practice the Dutch language together with residents of the asylum seekers’ centre. This is extremely important and nice for him and the many other participants. These lessons enable them to develop and get along better and better in Dutch. Work, contact with Dutch people, feeling welcome, all these things contribute to feeling human again. We do this great work together with lots of wonderful volunteers! ❤

We are always looking for (language) volunteers. Language cafes are organised at various locations, including the new location at Vlampijpstraat 103, at various times.

If you would like to become a volunteer, please check our website welcomeinutrecht.nu or send a message to info@welkominutrecht.nu and together we will see where you can go!
