September 3 was finally here: a fantastic evening of cooking and connecting together at Het Wilde Westen. With 31 women from multiple shelters, we went on a culinary journey. We cooked eight different dishes from various cuisines, with each dish telling a story about the cultural background and traditions of the chefs.

While we were busy cutting vegetables and herbs, the atmosphere was made even more cozy by the upbeat music that echoed through the room. Soon everyone started dancing spontaneously, in between cooking. It was much more than just an evening of cooking: it became a celebration of meeting, music and togetherness. After this evening full of food, dancing and new encounters, everyone went home with a smile.
