Handicraft can connect people and illuminate difficult chapters in history. Museum Catharijneconvent hosts special tapestry workshops in which members of our WiU community can participate.

Together they will create a tapestry using various textile techniques, exploring the complex Dutch history of slavery.

With great enthusiasm and creativity the participants are working on this. Very nice to see!

This tapestry is a work in progress and symbolizes our ongoing journey of understanding and using art to learn more about our colonial history.
