‘It was so nice to see that despite what the kids are going through they are so positive about it. And we were also all positively surprised that they speak quite a bit of Dutch,’ said one of the Rabobank employees who recently organized a special children’s afternoon at the HerculesHoek, our activity room for Ukrainians at Stadion Galgenwaard.<\/p>\n\n
It was great with those – for children – life-size games. While at least 35 children and their parents played Four-in-a-row or a mega-large man-er-not game together with Rabobank employees, another group of Rabobank employees baked pancakes. Very tasty, the Ukrainian children thought.<\/p>\n\n
And so did the son and daughter of a Rabobank employee who had come along: ‘At first I thought; ah, this is probably not going to be fun, because we don’t know these kids and probably don’t understand them,’ said the daughter. \u201cBut it’s really quite fun. <\/p>\n\n
